The Career Services Center (CSC) is looking for a talented and motivated student to join our team!Work in the Career Services Center by assisting the Employer Relationships Team. Reporting to the Program Assistant: This role includes managing front desk tasks, utilizing customer service skills to assist students and employers, answering phones and emails, and using copy machines and other office equipment. You will also assist with managing employers and recruitment events through Handshake, the Career Services online job portal.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with general office operations, including answering phones and emails, making copies, and interacting with and checking in students and employers for appointments.
Utilize Handshake, our career management platform, to manage employer registrations, student appointments, and events as needed.
Works as part of the Employer Relationships team to support Employer recruitment events, including our signature Career Fair event and other CSC events throughout the year.
Occasionally assist with general functions of the larger Career Services Center office.
EMPLOYER RELATIONSHIPS RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend weekly Employer Relationships Team meetings to discuss upcoming recruiting events and action items.
Prepare employer packets and other materials for Career Fairs and other recruitment events.
Call and email employers with reminders about upcoming recruitment events.
Call and email students to confirm scheduling with employers.
Record employer recruitment activity and event statistics.
Track employer partner participation to ensure their benefits are fulfilled.
Help manage logistics for employer recruitment events on campus.
Greet employers as part of the Career Services Recruiting Team.
Sit in on employer information sessions & take notes.
Manage Handshake Employer database.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be detail-oriented, quick learner, and comfortable with a variety of organizational systems.
Must have strong communication skills, including replying to Slack messages and emails in a timely manner
We are looking for outgoing team players who are customer service-focused, energetic, and professional.
Comfortable learning how to use basic office equipment including phone, computer, fax, and copy machine.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Internet research.
willing to learn Trello, our project management tool
willing to learn Canva, a graphic design tool.
Ability to learn new software programs quickly.
Must be a friendly and extroverted team player willing to help whenever and wherever needed.
Must be able to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision. Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
Must be professional, flexible, reliable, and punctual.
Prior experience working in a customer service-oriented setting is a plus.
Willing to commit to at least 10 hours/week between the hours of 9:00 am-5:00 pm.
Preference is given to candidates in Freshmen and Sophomore Standing.
We are only accepting Federal Work Study eligible applicants. Applicants with canceled unused Federal Work Study will be considered if they would like to direct their Fall Federal Work Study to this role.
Hourly Wages/ Salary:
$18.07 / hr
