JOB DUTIES
Description
In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of policies andinitiatives that create an environment of house staff engagement and helpensure compliance with all applicable policies and collective bargainingagreements. You will collaborate with house stafforganizations, DGSOM and UCLA Health Human Resources, program leadership, andGraduate Medical Education leadership on matters involving fair treatment of house staff under policy,application of FML and disability accommodation policies, due process, andcomplaint resolution. Functions involve the design and administration ofprocedures and plans related to employee workplace issues such as conduct, dueprocess, communications, policies and procedures. Salary range: $60700.00-$151100.00 Annual
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in relatedarea and/or equivalent experience/training * Master’s degree preferred * 7+ years progressive experience in HR/employeerelations * Knowledge of ACGME requirements, health care industry/highereducation; and experience in a union environment * Skill in writing concise, clear, relevant and persuasivedocuments, including correspondence, case analyses, investigative reports,policies, etc. * Demonstrated presentation skills, i.e.trainings, panels * Knowledge of employment lawsincluding FMLA/CFRA, Reasonable Accommodation, VAWA/CANRA, HIPAA, HEERA,contract interpretation, EEOC/DFEH/DOJ requirements * Experience in conductinginvestigations of harassment allegations, including sexual harassment, hostilework environment, discrimination, HIPAA, work place behavior. * Ability to analyze and draft proposals fornegotiations, settlements, and other employment agreements * Ability to build relationships and workcollaboratively with other UCLA offices (Title IX, Legal Affairs, ComplianceServices, Insurance and Risk Management, etc.) and the UC Office of thePresident
