What We're Looking For

The Employee Experience Specialist at Baylor University is a key member of the Employee Experience team, reporting directly to the Director of Employee Experience. This role focuses on fostering effective communication to employees from Human Resources, managing HR-related events, and enhancing the employee experience at Baylor. The Employee Experience Specialist supports the planning, developing, and execution of strategic initiatives to maintain a culture of exceptional employee experience.

A Bachelor’s degree, one year of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required.  A Master's degree is preferred.

Additional preferred skills: 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to employees intergenerationally.
  • Experience in event planning and execution
  • Familiarity with Ignite or other cloud-based system is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in website maintenance, data lists, and communication tools.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis. 

What You Will Do

  • Execute communication strategies through various channels including the HR newsletter, manager newsletter, and website updates.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership, HR internal partners, and other Baylor departments to convey organizational information to employees. 
  • Partner with Institutional Events on employee focused events such as Faculty and Staff Appreciation, All University Staff Meeting, Milestone Luncheon, and more. 
  • Coordinate guest lists, speakers, volunteers, scripts, invitations, menus, signage, and presentations for events
  • Propose new ideas, concepts, and resources to enhance the employee event experience.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications department to align communications and events with branding guidelines.
  • Administer employee recognition programs through Awardco platform and other initiatives.
  • Support the HR Service Center through process collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission.  
  • Ability to comply with university policies.  
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
