The Department of European Languages and Transcultural Studies is searching for an Adjunct Assistant Professor to develop and teach courses in Environmental Humanities and the Arts, with a focus on diverse cultural and media practices in European and Global contexts. We are especially interested in teaching and research that expands our offerings in the 'experimental humanities' (environmental, health, digital, urban, and public humanities) with a social justice focus.
Duties: Teach 2 courses per year, maintain an active research agenda, and participate in departmental outreach activities/ collaborate with departments across the humanities and arts.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 1. The salary range for this position is $74,600-$97,200. 'Off-scale salaries', i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
