Columbus State University is inviting applications for part-time faculty pool positions in Elementary Education.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate face-to-face  courses (i.e., Creative Activities, Reading in the Content Areas: Concentration in Social Studies. Science in Elementary Education, and Diagnostic/ Perspective Reading instruction) and supervising undergraduate candidates in the pre-service program. Elementary education classes are offered face-to-face at Columbus State University River Park Campus, Main Campus, and/or Muscogee County Partnership Schools in Columbus, Georgia, depending on need.

Application submission to the part-time faculty pool is open to qualified and competent experts who possess skills, education, and experience in academic and/or professional areas. Applications for part-time faculty positions will be held in applicant pools, which, based on student enrollment, will be consulted when searching for candidates to fill the position on a semester-by-semester basis.

Part-time faculty positions offer the opportunity to assist a  group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. Assignments include day (8:00AM- 3:00PM) classes.

Master's degree in the field of study or a related discipline from an accredited institution and experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction.

Teaching experience at elementary classrooms (grades P-5) and/or the higher educational level strongly preferred.

Knowledge of teaching methodologies/pedagogical strategies.; ability to provide instruction in a variety of formats (on ground, online, or hybrid); familiarity with learning management systems; exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others.
