Position Summary:       

This role is crucial for maintaining and advancing the technological infrastructure of YU Global's asynchronous and self-paced certification programs. The ideal candidate will not only manage and optimize our learning management systems (LMS), but also support the creation and development of innovative course content. This position will also oversee community engagement through online platforms like Slack, and provide IT-related support to our adult learners and team. This position also involves collaborating closely with the Director of Digital Learning & Technology at YU Global, to ensure that the technological and educational aspects of YU Global’s programs align with its strategic goals. This role requires a unique combination of technical proficiency, creativity, and excellent communication skills to support our global community of learners and enhance their learning experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage YU Global’s LMS platforms and catalogs, ensuring a seamless learning experience.
  • Assist in the creation and development of course content, working in tandem with instructional designers and subject matter experts.
  • Facilitate community channels (e.g., Slack) to foster engagement and support among learners.
  • Provide IT support to learners, course facilitators, and the YU Global team, providing timely and efficient helpdesk support.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, course facilitators, and the Director of Digital Learning to implement technical enhancements and integrations within the LMS.
  • Monitor and report on the usage and performance of the learning platforms, recommending improvements as needed.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • At least two years of experience in Computer Science, Educational Technology, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience managing community platforms and providing IT support to diverse clients.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Skills & Competencies:

  • LMS Proficiency: Proficiency working with at least one major Learning Management System including its setup, management, and customization options.
  • Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve common LMS issues, such as login problems, course access issues, and content display errors.
  • Technical Documentation: Skilled in creating and maintaining clear, concise technical guides and documentation for end-users and administrators.
  • Data Analysis: Able to utilize LMS data and metrics to improve user experience, track learning progress, and support educational outcomes.
  • Integration Skills: Capable of integrating third-party tools and applications with LMS platforms (e.g., video conferencing tools).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative and proactive  problem-solver

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $80,000
