JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Kinesiology, a part of the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) at the University of Connecticut is seeking a dynamic and team-oriented leader with creative energy to serve as the Doctor of Physical Therapy Educational Program Coordinator (Educational Program Coordinator) with responsibility to provide administrative support to all operations, including financial, human resources and payroll, and programmatic support for the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (DPT). The successful candidate will contribute to a culture that values community, inclusion, excellence, and strategic growth. The successful candidate will be open-minded, efficient, process-oriented, organized, and customer service-driven.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and manage the academic, administrative, and fiscal functions for the daily operation of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program to meet department, college, university, and accreditation standards.
- Serve as initial point of contact for the program, providing customer service support to faculty, students, staff, and visitors.
- Process human resource and payroll functions of DPT personnel, including faculty, staff, student workers, special payroll employees, graduate assistants, and gratis appointments.
- Coordinate and manage a wide range of fiscal, administrative, and operational matters.
- Prepare budget projections, regular statements, and monitor all programmatic budgets, including foundation accounts.
- Develop and maintain data collection processes for ongoing program assessment and quality improvement.
- Organize and coordinate DPT communications and marketing, including programmatic website updates and social media.
- Develop the DPT CAPTE Annual Accreditation Report.
- Manage and coordinate the Graduate Admissions process within the Department of Kinesiology and serve as the main contact for prospective students.
- Support the DPT Director and program Faculty with activities related to strategic planning, recruitment, curriculum, course scheduling, accreditation requirements, and personnel searches.
- Provide operational support to the Director of the Human Anatomy Learning Lab (HALL) in both internal and external program development and implementation.
- Assist in advising students or participants regarding academic program planning and course selection. Explains program policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Supervise student employees with jobs associated with the DPT program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
