The Education Program Specialist provides strategic operations and implementation expertise to the Graduate School to expand its capacity for operations, strategy and innovation to promote graduate student success. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations Strategy and Innovation (OSI), providing administrative support for OSI through coordinating calendars and Teams channels and identifying and implementing solutions that improve technologies, workflow processes, data analyses, and assessment protocols. This position works across the Graduate School and its interdisciplinary graduate programs (IGPs) to track the Graduate School’s and IGPs’ progress towards meeting annual strategic goals and produces reports on the outcomes associated with organizational goals. This person liaisons with OTDI, Institutional Research and Planning, and other university units to maintain communications and support continuous progress on joint efforts.

Duties/Responsibilities

50% - Provides administrative and strategic operations support for the Operations Strategy and Innovation area of the Graduate School. Serves as primary contact for staff in the Graduate School and its interdisciplinary programs and develops solutions to help staff plan and execute operations for special projects, adopt new technologies, and design efficient and innovative workflow processes. Administration of regular meetings for IT needs, monitoring requests from staff and academic programs related to IT infrastructure.

20% - Coordinates strategic planning across Graduate School teams and IGPs. Establishes milestones, manages the tracking and assessment, and develops outcome reports of goals and objectives related to the Graduate School strategic plan.

20% - Liaises with and attends meetings with Graduate School partners, including OTDI, Institutional Research and Planning, and other units. Serves as point of contact for managing day-to-day activities among collaborators.

10% - Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

Required: Bachelor's degree in related field or combination of equivalent experience and education. Minimum of two years experience in Higher Education Student business processes and project management required. Ability to work collaboratively and in teams, with high attention to details.

Desired: Master’s degree in related field or combination of equivalent experience and education. Two-to-four years of experience with project management,
database management and reporting on program data preferred.
