Position Summary
Position is responsible for departmental medical student, internal and external resident and fellow rotators, and APP student education and training activities, development of materials, organization of programs and monitoring its success.


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops educational framework for orientation, conferences and in-service programs.
  • Develops educational materials including slides, forms and other teaching tools.
  • Compiles pertinent rotator-based photos or announcements for inclusion in departmental newsletter.
  • Provides updated information about the rotations for inclusion on the departmental website.
  • Establishes educational programs (department/division or one-on-one), trains personnel who prepare departmental submissions (investigators and appropriate staff member(s), preparation of paperwork/forms and provides access to pertinent material addressing ethical and regulatory information, departmental guidelines and policies.
  • Educates/updates departmental office staff on a continuing basis.
  • Maintains education and training program files.
  • Analyzes submission materials and prepares reports to measure the program’s success.
  • Maintains online course materials ensuring they are up-to-date.
  • Executes special projects as assigned.

Working Conditions

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule depending upon work load needs and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in education, specifically medical education administration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high attention to detail.
  • Capacity to manage data across multiple learning platforms (Canvas, Learning Management System).


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required with two years experience in development of educational/training materials or related field.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience equaling six years.

Salary Range
$22.92 - $35.49 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
