Education and Outreach Assistant (Staff Wage)

The University of Virginia’s Gordie center is seeking a qualified candidate for an Education and Outreach Assistant position.  This position will assist in the design and coordination of educational programs for our grant-funded conference including program evaluation using the SAS statistical program. Other position duties include but not limited to.

  • Assist with the design, coordination, and evaluation of educational programs for student-athletes related to substance misuse prevention.
  • Provide logistical support for the APPLE Training Institutes.
  • Assist with preparation, editing, and proofreading of program-related reports.
  • Support the design of marketing materials and promotions for programs using Canva.
  • Help coordinate schedules.
  • Assist with the management of participant attendance records.
  • Respond to inquiries with excellent customer service.
  • Aid in tracking program evaluation using the SAS statistical program.

Education: Associate or Bachelors Degree Required. Relevant experience may substitute in lieu of degree.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
