Job Description
Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada, actively maintains a pool of qualified individuals to be selected from on an as needed basis by the department to fulfill part-time temporary instructional needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Please indicate in your application materials your classes of interest, availability for in person courses, and your interest in teaching online courses.
Master’s degree in Economics or closely related field from an accredited institution.
Responsibilities
Candidates must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds.
The primary responsibility is to teach college-level and developmental courses. The position provides an opportunity for input into scheduling and course assignments.
Salary Information: $952 per credit on standard credit courses
Conditions of Employment
This is an on-going pool of qualified individuals interested in part-time, temporary non-tenure track instructional opportunities at Truckee Meadows Community College.
This contract is a part-time contract only and will not be continued beyond the ending date. This appointment may be terminated at will, at any time, for any reason, without notice; appointee has no appeal rights. Individuals appointed to temporary term assignments are not eligible for consideration for tenure as part of the assignment.
