Posting Text | Black Hills State University seeks applicants for a live-in East Complex Director/Residential Operations Coordinator position with the Department of Residence Life. Current employees of Black Hills State University are eligible to apply for this position. DUTIES: The East Complex Director is responsible for the East Complex (comprised of the Yellow Jacket Apartments, Humbert Hall, and Wenona Cook Hall), its occupants, and its facilities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities include overall complex and residence hall administration, including (but not limited to): * Supervision of departmental paraprofessional staff (Resident Assistant, Student Office Supervisor, and Night Assistant) * Advising hall government, programming * Student Conduct Adjudication * Student Development * Residential Operations (housing assignments, billing, annual survey, etc.) * On-call responsibilities (this includes being responsible for a department-provided cell phone) The East Complex Director is also expected to establish and maintain a residence hall atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth consistent with the goals of Black Hills State University. The East Complex Director reports to the Director of Residence Life. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors’ degree or equivalent and live-in residence hall or community living experience are required.
