Description of Work | A research technician is needed to help fulfill many research and administrative functions in the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and School at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Responsibilities include supporting research efforts in close coordination with project management team, including general assistance with data entry and data management; coding observational recordings of early childhood interactions, and contacting research participants to support recruitment and retention. Minimum Required Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, child development or related field. Two years of research experience including data entry and data management. Work and proficiency with spreadsheets/Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong communication and time management skills. |
Preferred Qualifications | Prefer 18 months’ experience working within an institution of higher education. Experience coding video or live observations of classrooms, teachers, families, children Experience with early childhood or school settings and Qualtrics software preferred. Social media promotional skills. Ability to conduct literature searches. Knowledge of: SPSS; early childhood programming; APA formatting; and Qualtrics. |
