Brief Position Overview | Museum of the Rockies (MOR) seeks a creative and dedicated Early Childhood Coordinator. Position Details
General Statement | The Museum of the Rockies’ Early Childhood Coordinator is responsible for achieving and maintaining excellence in museum programming for children and family audiences. They design and implement a variety of programs focused on: early childhood classes; the Martin Children’s Discovery Center exhibit; and other activities for families. Under the direction of the Director of Education and Public Programs and in collaboration with other staff members, the Early Childhood Coordinator will develop and oversee the museum’s early learning programs, fostering curiosity and engagement for the museum’s youngest visitors and their families. The Early Childhood Coordinator facilitates early educational programs for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers, including our weekly Sensational Babies, Little Learners, and Preschool Pioneers classes. Utilizing multisensory and developmentally appropriate methods for these programs, the Early Childhood Coordinator facilitates learning experiences that focus on MOR content related to cultural history, natural history, and astronomy, engaging this age group with accurate content and meeting best practices in informal education. As we grow and expand our educational mission, we are looking for an innovative educator with expertise in early learning able to further our goals.
