Description of primary duties and responsibilities: | Primary Purpose of the Position: The Dudley E. Flood Endowed Distinguished Chair position is a tenure-track, 9-month appointment for an exceptional criminal justice scholar to start in January 2024 or August 2024. The successful candidate is expected to serve as a faculty and student mentor and to raise the visibility, quality, and productivity of scholarship, teaching, and service within the department and the university. |
Description of Work Continued: | Duties and Responsibilities: The Distinguished Chair must exhibit initiative, enthusiasm, and teamwork in accomplishing the following responsibilities: Seek and develop grants and proposals designed to support the priorities of the unit; Contribute to faculty and student development by participating in meaningful collaborative projects; Teach one to two courses per semester (depending on productivity) in support of the undergraduate and graduate programs; Contribute to the furtherance of the university’s strategic priorities in service throughout the community, region, and world. |
