Job Description Summary:
Disability Support Services (DSS) at the George Washington University recognizes disability in the context of diversity. We work collaboratively with students, faculty and staff across the campus to foster a climate of universal academic excellence, while also promoting disability culture and GW’s broader diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Reporting to the Associate Director for Assistive Technology, the Program Specialist is responsible for the following:
  • Coordinate American Sign Language (ASL) and Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART) scheduling for courses and DSS-supported events.
  • Manage agency invoices and other details (such as coordination with faculty, last-minute cancellations, student questions, etc.) to ensure service delivery.
  • Support CART administrative duties by collaborating with DSS staff and vendors as necessary.
  • Assist with data management and assistive technology tasks.
  • Provide support for other office duties as needed.
