Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | Under limited supervision, reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Donor Relations, Communications, and Marketing (AVP), the Donor Relations and Events Manager (Manager) is responsible for assisting with the planning, coordinating, oversight and assessment of public and private donor engagement events. Responsible for managing and distributing tickets to all university events that include donors or high-level prospects visiting the university. Works collaboratively with colleges to ensure equal opportunity for event exposure for donors. Provides guidance and advice to colleges of event logistics to include but not limited to recommended event locations, food selections, and presence, if needed. Plans and executes the University Associates events along with the registration logistics. Works closely with the Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship on all donor recognition strategies for upcoming events. |

Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, or business development.May be required to travel to conference for continual educational development and training. Must have a valid driver’s license. |
Preferred Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree and 4 years related experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, or business development. Must have above average skills with Microsoft Professional Package, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Also, familiarity with USC policies, procedures, and systems would be beneficial. |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | A high-level individual contributor that brings about immeasurable results through successful outcomes. Knowledge of policies and procedures for program. The ability to plan, organize and conduct detailed research, writing and production of correspondence and other informational avenues to maintain contact with our donors. Ability to collect and assemble information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Effective computer experience including database operation, excel and word processing are required. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the university. Very strong organizational skills, tact, diplomacy, and very strong customer-focus are required. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required. |

Post-game attendee compliance reports are submitted to the Office of Special events with special documentation for all Legislatives attendees. Also works with the Office of Specials Events in menu coordination for Basketball and Baseball. This may also include post season playoff games. |
