Donor Events Coordinator - Office of Advancement – Georgetown University

Job Overview

The Donor Events Coordinator is responsible for managing registration and attendance tracking for the Office of Advancement’s donor based events which support donor engagement, development and campaign goals established by the university; and serves as the first point of contact for all event inquiries from donors.

As well, they manage VIP email correspondence and the preparation of event materials (such as name tags and event supplies).

They also  provide onsite support at events, and assist the event lead in contracts, payments and coordinating other elements of the event.

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting to the Director of Donor Events, the Donor Events Coordinator is a member of the larger Campaign Management and Donor Experience team within the Office of Advancement. 

They support the Director in managing and tracking RSVPs for donor focused events to evaluate the effectiveness of registration processes in supporting the overall goals of each event. 

Working in conjunction with the Donor Engagement and Experience and Development teams, they send electronic or mailed invitations, and track responses in the university internal database for all donor events. Additionally, they may interact with university unit colleagues to provide support for events.

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 to 3 years of event support and registration experience [note: consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience] 
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools, including Google Docs and Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, as well as superb attention to detail
  • Ability to concurrently balance multiple and high priorities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills  
  • A mission-driven mindset
