Position description
The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine is seeking a full time, board certified/eligible Clinical Investigator or Clinician-Educator in Allergy and Immunology for a 100% faculty position. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at UCSF in the HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are salaried appointees in the health sciences who teach, participate in patient care, and may participate in University and/or public service and scholarly and/or creative activities. Faculty in this series teach the application of basic sciences and the mastery of clinical procedures in all areas concerned with the care of patients.
The UCSF Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine, within the Department of Medicine, is seeking applications for a full-time, board certified/eligible clinical investigator or clinician-educator in Allergy and Immunology. The candidate must have completed training in Internal Medicine and in an Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program. The selected candidate is expected to have met the requirements for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at UCSF. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the development of a distinctive clinical or research program in Allergy and Immunology as well as superior teaching skills. The rapidly growing UCSF Allergy and Immunology program currently offers both inpatient and outpatient consultative services and continuity care. Strong clinical demand and an expanding fellowship program (in both adult medicine and pediatrics) will offer the new faculty member an exciting array of opportunities to participate in the growth and development of this leading edge program. The faculty member will supervise and teach residents, fellows, and medical students.
Requirements:
• Board Certified/Eligible Clinical Investigator or Clinician-Educator in Allergy and Immunology.
• Must have completed training in Internal Medicine and in an Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program.
• Must have met the requirements for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at UCSF.
Preferred/Desirable Qualifications:
• A strong commitment to the development of a distinctive clinical or research program in Allergy and Immunology as well superior teaching skills.
