Description

Emory’s Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is seeking a visionary leader to be our next Division Director for Musculoskeletal Imaging. The division is currently comprised of seven faculty dedicated to musculoskeletal imaging spanning Emory Healthcare and Grady Health systems. Emory’s clinical facilities include a Musculoskeletal Institute, Orthopedic and Spine Hospital, and Sports Medicine Center, with Emory as the official sports medicine provider for the Atlanta Hawks, Falcons, and Braves. Clinical sites are in the metro Atlanta area, an incredibly diverse, vibrant, and desirable community.

 

Emory Radiology is a leader in innovative training and encompasses highly acclaimed educational programs including 78 residents and 55 fellows. Five Musculoskeletal Imaging fellows are recruited each year. Our multidisciplinary research teams benefit from bridging academic programs with Emory’s AI.Health initiative, the Emory-Georgia Institute of Technology Biomedical Engineering Department, and many other closely aligned entities. Emory’s state of the art Center for Systems Imaging contains dedicated research cyclotron and radiopharmacy facilities, PET-CT, PET-MRI, 3T MRIs, and 7T MRI systems for human studies and microPET/CT, 9.4T MRI, and 11.7T MRI for animal studies.  

 

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned and highly collaborative leader with excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and change management. A strong desire to foster divisional excellence across all academic missions and to professionally develop faculty and staff is prerequisite.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must be fellowship trained in Musculoskeletal Imaging, certified by the American Board of Radiology, and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
