Position Summary
The Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago is recruiting a Chief for the Division of Academic Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. The candidate will lead the clinical, scholarly, educational, and service missions of the Division of Academic Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at the University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics (UI Health). We seek an outstanding candidate at the Associate Professor or Professor tenured level (rank commensurate with qualifications) with the leadership skills necessary to support a large and diverse division and continue to grow clinical, educational, and research programs.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an ACGME accredited medical college
  • Unrestricted State of Illinois Physician/Surgeon License or eligible to obtain upon offer
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Regional or national recognition is expected.  
  • Demonstrated scholarship, education, clinical practice, and leadership skills are desirable
