Position Overview
The Diving Coach is responsible for teaching the student athletes with respect to all facets of the NCAA Division I Women’s Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving program. The position reports directly to the Head Coach. Duties include: poolside coaching during practices and meets; teaching a productive dry-land conditioning program; encouraging and promoting good academics; recruiting of top-quality student-athletes and other duties as assigned by the head coach. This position requires the Diving Coach to maintain compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations and must display professional integrity.

Position Qualifications


Required Experience
  • Diving experience at the College, High School or club level
  • Diving coach experience at the College, High School or club level
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Required Other
  • Must be able to travel regularly
  • Work non-standard hours and occasional weekends

Additional Preferred
  • Master’s Degree
  • Intercollegiate competitive experience as a diver
  • Ability to recruit top-quality student-athletes at the NCAA Div. I level
  • Familiarity with Northwest recruiting areas
  • Demonstrated public relations, organizational, and communication skills
  • Solid computer skills relating to recruiting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to comply with NCAA, University, and Conference rules and regulations
  • Able to work full-time and provide good references
  • Coaching philosophy consistent or complimentary to that of existing head coach
