Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business is searching for a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Program Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. This role will be a valued member of the Deans Office/DEIB Office team and work closely with the Associate Dean of DEIB and Executive Director of Community and Inclusion. The DEIB Program Manager will support the Schools DEIB-related recruitment, development, and community engagement efforts and assist with the creation of programming and initiatives that advance the goals of the Tepper School of Business.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Develop and implement activities and ongoing programming aligned with DEIB faculty recruitment
Serve as primary point of contact for faculty aligned partnerships: The PhD Project and their associated subject area specific DSAs (Doctoral Student Association): La Familia Management Scholars; MFCA (Management Faculty of Color Association); etc
Coordinate and implement faculty training and development programming
Create special programming that fosters an inclusive climate for faculty and encourages their community engagement
Work in conjunction with undergraduate and graduate program staff in planning and implementing high-impact DEIB programming that enhances the development and community building for all Tepper students
Work closely with the ED of Community and Inclusion in collecting and analyzing data related to student satisfaction to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of DEIB programs and initiatives
Build relationships and serve as a resource to students in provide guidance as it relates to their experiences and concerns related to DEIB
Co-supervise Community and Inclusion Fellows and support their recruitment, hiring, training, and onboarding efforts
Assist with compiling surveys, operating unit progress reports/reviews and DEIB annual report
Work closely with Marketing and Communication in curating DEIB website content

You should demonstrate:
Experience in developing and implementing original programming, including coordinating with internal and external collaborators
Experience in authentic community building and ability to work in a culturally diverse environment including historically underrepresented and international students and faculty
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent time management skills and the ability to simultaneously set priorities among several tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and ability to learn a variety of software applications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, business, psychology or related field required; Master’s degree in higher education/student affairs preferred
1-3 years of experience in education or non-profit organizations working in areas related to advancing DEIB initiatives required; 3-5 years of experience in higher education designing, developing, and implementing DEIB programs preferred
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is proven may be considered.

Additional Information:
Typical Work Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:30-5:00pm. An alternate work schedule allowing for evening and weekend hours will be required on occasion.
