Job Summary: The Director of Curriculum Support, under general direction, oversees the coordination of curriculum and curriculum support activities for residential and distance education programs.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience:

  • Ten years of related experience.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree in public health

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with TAMU curricular processes and procedures.
  • Experience managing online degree programs.
  • Knowledge of CEPH and/or SACSCOC (or similar) accreditation processes.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities

Responsibilities:

  • Investigates curriculum innovation in public health academic education and coordinates with SPH leadership on curricular change.
  • Consults with and advises department administration, faculty, and Curriculum Committee on processes and requirements.   Serves as ex officio member of SPH Curriculum Committee.
  • Serves as lead contact for all distance education program efforts for students, staff and faculty.
  • Works in conjunction with Office of Student Affairs on curriculum changes as related to student enrollment.
  • Monitors, troubleshoots and resolves curricular process alignment between SPH and offices of TAMU.
  • Coordinates scheduling efforts across programs with department admins and department heads
  • Serves as manager of software and applications for course scheduling
  • Serves as SPH representative to A&M Registrar for scheduling and catalog activities.
  • Coordinates with academic oversight offices of Texas A&M University to ensure compliance with curriculum requirements of A&M University and System, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and other oversight bodies.
  • Ensures SPH compliance with curriculum criteria of Council on Accreditation for Public Health in curriculum development.
  • Other assigned duties
