The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Director, Strategic Enrollment Management Systems. In support of the University's strategy and mission, the Slate Technical Team Director serves as UNG's lead Customer Relationship Management (CRM) officer and provides strategic management and leadership to all areas related to CRM usage for all five campuses and online at the University of North Georgia. The director is responsible for the development, implementation, assessment, and maintenance of the University's CRM system. The Director of the Slate Technical team will oversee a team of other CRM specialists. This position reports to the Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management. 

  • Manage and lead a team of Slate CRM team professionals. Provide guidance and training to team members.
  • In partnership with internal stakeholders, develop and implement a strategic vision for CRM initiatives aligned with overall business goals. Represent UNG¿s Student Relationship Management strategic vision on a variety of leadership teams and committees both on and off-campus.
  • Oversee system configuration, maintenance, enhancement, and quality control processes for all online applications, forms, decisions, application reviews, workflows, communication, portals, events, etc. Responsible for all PGP data imports and the integration/automation with external systems and vendors and ensure the integrity of data entered into admission systems and SIS through assessment and quality control reviews, and audits, following all university data governance and privacy policies.
  • Utilize CRM data to generate insights and reports for decision-making. Stay informed about industry best practices and new Slate CRM enhancements. Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement upgrades to optimize CRM functionality. Identify and incorporate new CRM functionality and enhancements on a regular basis.
  • Develop and execute training programs to ensure effective use of the CRM system. Promote user adoption and address any challenges related to system usage. Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues within servers, databases, and other mission-critical systems. Provide application support for escalated and complex issues.
  • Ensure that the CRM system complies with data protection regulations and UNG security standards. Implement measures to safeguard sensitive customer information. Manage access requests, security checkpoints, user permissions, roles, populations, realms and inactive or dormant user retention policies.
  • Manage the budget allocated for CRM initiatives, including software licenses, training, maintenance costs, and personnel. Responsible for Slate budget.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. 
  • Bachelor's Degree is required. 
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience using Slate or similar customer relationship management system. 
  • Preference given to applicants who have earned a master's degree and have experience working with higher education student systems, including but not limited to Slate and Ellucian Banner.
