The Opportunity:

The Director of Solutions Management and Analytics oversees all student success third-party software/vendor relations. This role also guides the business intelligence strategy and operations for the student success unit of the Worldwide campus. In collaboration with the executive director and vice-chancellor, they drive strategic initiatives. The Director of Solutions Management and Analytics actively participate in meetings with leadership team members, deans, and other directors across Worldwide to ensure data reporting requirements are fulfilled.

In close collaboration with the Executive Director of Decision Support Services, the Director of Solutions Management and Analytics offers strategic business analysis services to the various business units of the Worldwide campus. The role's focus is to work with strategic business units to deeply understand their business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and operational context. They are responsible for reviewing assigned strategic business processes end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological inefficiencies.

This position reports to the Executive Director of Decision Support Services at the Worldwide campus.

Primary Job Functions, Duties, or Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the ongoing functional support to stakeholders, serving as the Worldwide Administrator for the ModernCampus (formerly DiGARC) Section and Register systems. 

  • Serve as the liaison between ModernCampus Client Support and university IT. 

  • Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at an advanced level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external business units to ensure alignment with the short and long-term goals of Worldwide and the university.

  • Oversee, and provide support for the implementation of business solutions by establishing relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying strategic business needs; highlighting necessary processes and practices; monitoring and evaluating progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.  

  • Develop business intelligence reporting to ensure key stakeholders are able to assess the overall health of the operation as well as identify potential detractors of strategic goal success.

  • Review and/or prepare system and process documentation and specifications in accordance with approved methodologies. 

  • Synthesize and analyze information from various sources to identify trends, opportunities, and detractors.

  • Collect data through interviews, surveys, web search, database search, or other methods.

  • Monitor existing business reports to ensure continued alignment with the strategic needs of Worldwide and the university.  

  • Develop and maintain no-code/low-code software platforms to ensure each application meets the needs of stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required education/experience:

  • Master's degree with an area of concentration in Business Administration, Business Intelligence, Project Management, Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science.

  • 3-5 years of professional experience relating to information technology, project management and data analysis.

Required licenses and/or certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Data Analyst Associate (Preferred)

  • Data Analytics Certification (Oracle or Google or Equivalent)

  • Certified Scrub Master (CSM) (Preferred)

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

  • Must have SQL experience, Oracle Database, Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI, Microsoft Azure, Python Programming advanced knowledge

  • Understanding of Indices, fundamentals and analytics data, return level data etc.

  • Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills and communication skills.

  • Experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
