Description

 

Provide leadership, planning and strategy for UHS relationship management and research; identify and utilize industry best practices; manage the Relationship Management System (RMS); and develop strategies for each development officer's current, highest level and future pipeline donors. Manage a team of portfolio services managers. Provide education and training about RMS functions and opportunities to enhance work individually and as a team.

  • Establish priorities, initiatives, policies and procedures for the Relationship Management System (RMS) utilizing industry best practices.
  • Manage the RMS services for portfolio and discovery pipeline management for development officers, including timely portfolio reviews, providing recommendations and analysis, while managing donors through the cultivation pipeline lifecycle in RMS.
  • Develop individual donor strategies for each development officer's current, highest level, and future pipeline donors.
  • Identify strategic enhancements to the RMS such as reports supporting campaign, fundraising and other business needs.
  • Build future prospect pipelines, manage discovery pipelines, and establish best practices for pipeline movement, progress and measurement.
  • Provide strategic support to leadership via donor strategy development, briefings, giving histories, tracking and post-strategy review.
  • Analyze portfolios through varied criteria, and utilize findings to make portfolio recommendations to maximize gift yield.
  • Direct prospect management meetings with development officers to review and report on individual strategies, donor moves, and business development plans.
  • Lead and manage a team of portfolio services managers; develop individual, team and division competencies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

    Qualifications

     

    Bachelors and 5 years experience

    Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
