Job Summary: The Director of OTIDE Instructional Technology administers the academic and technological support services for the academic degree programs, professional development programs, Early College, ACCESS and associated courses facilitated through the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (OTIDE). Serves as a technology liaison with the University’s Office of Information Technology. Creates and manages the expense and personnel budget for the Instructional Technology and Academic Services department.


Additional Department Summary: The Director OTIDE Instructional Technology administers instructional technology support services for the academic degree programs, professional development programs, Early College, ACCESS and associated courses facilitated through the Office of Teaching Innovation and Digital Education (OTIDE) in the Division of UA Online. Leads the ITAS leadership team, serves on the UA Online leadership team, the OTIDE Directors Council and various other OTIDE and campus committees. Serves as a technology liaison with the University’s Office of Information Technology. Creates and manages the expense and personnel budget for ITAS.


Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of instructional technology experience; OR master's degree and four (4) years of instructional technology experience.


Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication skills. Ability to design and implement processes. Knowledge of academic and/or instructional design, media and technical support services. Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with budgeting, financial management, and supervision of personnel.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a college or university environment is preferred. Prefer direct experience in the development and administration of distance delivery programs for non-traditional student audiences.
