Friends University is seeking to fill the Director of Undergraduate Student Success position in Wichita Kansas. This position provides key leadership of student engagement, retention, and college completion for all undergraduate students.  Design and implement new initiatives to meet the needs of current and future students.  Collaborate with faculty, staff, and athletic coaches to ensure the academic progress and success of all undergraduate students, including student athletes. Work hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Skills & Requirements

Two years’ experience in higher education, preferably in student affairs, academic advising, student success, or related field.

Master’s degree required.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.  The ability to motivate and influence others is a material part of the position.  Requires a significant level of diplomacy, trust and understanding of maintaining confidential information.  Obtaining cooperation of faculty, staff and students is an important part of the position.

The position requires analytical ability, judgement, and ingenuity.  The individual must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds.  Strong management skills are required.  Ability to understand a variety of computer-based programs in order to track data and develop reports.
