Summary of Job Duties:

We are looking for a leader who can provide direction and guidance to our IT and software development team while maintaining the highest standard of software development, information system, and IT security practices. You must be an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and the ability to stay current with the latest software, security, and information technologies. Must have a passion for information systems and the ability to build strong relationships with other teams and departments.
Identify, evaluate, develop, and manage IT, data support, and system security initiatives for Graduate School and International Education. Coordinate various departmental IT and software systems to include SLATE, Sunapsis, TerraDotta, and Workday Student, security, and data analysis projects with other campus departments and Graduate School and International's IT information systems. Provide oversight/leadership in developing reports using consistent and accurate queries to support program evaluation, annual reporting, and strategic planning in the graduate school. Empower and develop local IT leadership within GSIE's units for ongoing data management and analysis operations.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, information technology or a related field

  • At least two years of experience in information technology project management


Preferred Qualifications:

  • The formal education equivalent of a master's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, information systems, information technology or a related field

  • Familiarity with leading teams in process improvement techniques

  • Project management certification a plus


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Working Knowledge of:


  • Management of software development and project management

  • Working knowledge of a programming language such as Java, Python, Java Script, SQL and frameworks/libraries such as Spring, Node.js and React

  • Familiarity with Azure Administration

  • Familiar with HTML 5 and CSS.

  • Familiar with visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

  • Knowledge of IT Security (Framework, standards, and compliance)

  • Working knowledge of ETL operations with data and data integration and pipelines

Salary Information:


$75,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
