The Director of Student Support Services (SSS) has full responsibility to Implement, manage, and effectively administer the Student Support Services federally funded TRIO program. The SSS Director will assist students with all aspects of the collegiate experience, including but not limited to advising, academic support and financial aid.

Resonsibilities 
-Assists in providing workshops for participants.
-Establishes policies and procedures for the project;
-Authorizes expenditures of federal funds and monitor budget frequently.
Primary Duties 
-Prepares and submit all necessary documents to the U.S. -Department of Education; Designs and coordinate the planning of project activities throughout the year to ensure that activities follow project regulations and college policies;
-Arranges and enter into agreements for delivery of services;
-Recruits, identifies, screens and selects eligible students;
Duites 
-Evaluates the project, participants and staff annually;
-Assures that all project goals and objectives are met;
-Participates In professional development activities including workshops, conventions, and other related activities;
-Supervises professional staff, clerical, staff, tutors, and part-time staff.

-Designs and implements a comprehensive Evaluation plan
-Develops and manages the annual budget;
-Develops marketing plan to advertise project's purpose and services to students, faculty and staff.
-Recruits, screen, selects and recommends staff to be hire;

Educational Requirements
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Educational Management, Educational Administration, Psychology, Science, Mathematics, or a field closely related to the purposes of the SSS project.
Required Experience
Three years of experience in an educational program, with experience In designing, managing, or Implementing similar projects working with low-income, first-generation college students or disabled persons.

Preferred Experience
-Experience in program planning and development;
-Experience In developing and facilitating workshops for students;
-Experience in working with faculty, administrators and staff
-Knowledge of higher education admissions and financial aid policies.
-Excellent supervisory skills;
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Preference will be given to candidates with TRIO experience or candidates who have succeeded in overcoming similar barriers as the SSS students.

The salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience within the budgetary parameters of the college and of the University System of Georgia. The University System offers an excellent benefits package, including annual and sick leave accruals, paid holidays, life and health insurance, and retirement plans.

$65,000.00 - $70,000.00
