Position Summary

The Director of Sports and Cub Camps, Assistant Director of Physical Education is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Department’s camps and clinics program and managing the daily operations of the required Physical Education Program.


Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing all aspects of sports and Little Lions Camps, including but not limited to scheduling camp activities, hiring qualified staff, maintenance of day to day operations etc.
  • Coordinating the daily aspects of the Required Physical Education Program to ensure that courses are scheduled and staffed by highly qualified instructors in accordance with Departmental and Columbia University policy.
  • Operating as many sports and youth camps as possible to meet the department’s revenue expectations for sports and youth camps.  Providing exceptional service to participants.
  • Teaching in the required physical education program where needed.
  • Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent related experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a camp or youth program.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience. 
  • Strong organizational skills.
