A part of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Texas A&M School of Dentistry in Dallas was founded in 1905 and is a nationally recognized center for oral health sciences education, research, specialized patient care and continuing dental education. What we want
The School of Dentistry is looking for a Director of Recruitment and Admissions to serve in the department of Student Affairs. Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Director of Recruitment and Admissions has the responsibility of screening and interviewing applicants to the DDS program and coordinating all recruiting activities for the School of Dentistry. Concentration will be on directing the day-to-day operations, recruitment, selection and matriculation of students into the School's DDS program. Salary range: Commensurate (Based on selected hire's qualifications)

Work Schedule/Location: This is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 10 or equivalent combination of education and experience or,
Master's degree and 8 years of admissions, recruiting, and/or related areas of higher education/professional school experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Understanding of Admissions Databases
Strong written, oral communication, organizational, and presentation skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
Doctoral degree (i.e. DDS, Ed.D., Ph.D, etc.)
Experience in professional school setting (medical or dental), particularly in leadership roles
Demonstrated experience mentoring at the professional school level
Established experience in advising, evaluating, recruiting and admitting prospective students to a professional school
Experience in strategic planning, development, and management of diversity-related projects
Experience with various computer systems, including automated student information systems, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and data processing
Demonstrated work history of supporting underrepresented and underserved students
Responsibilities:
Admissions Oversight
Oversees and executes the strategic enrollment plans for the university, balancing the enrollment goals each year associated with the academic quality, socioeconomic and geographic diversity, and overall enrollment targets.
Oversees selection of applicants and conducts interviews.
Lead and manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of the admissions process for the school.
Lead and directs operations that support the admissions office.
Oversee and develop admissions practices, policies, and procedures.
Assure adequacy of physical and fiscal resources that support the admissions office.
Provide educational consultation to faculty regarding the roles and responsibilities of the admissions Office.
Collaborate with other leaders in Student Affairs, Student Development, School departments and offices, Texas A&M, and external stakeholders.
Advise or oversee advising applicants regarding admissions requirements, eligibility for admission, program options, residency requirements and other matters.
Assumes fiscal responsibility for all Recruitment and Admissions operations.
Recruitment
Leads the continued development, implementation and evaluation of student recruitment processes and admission procedures.
Assist with securing funding opportunities for applicable initiatives or programs.
Monitors budget pertaining to recruitment materials and travel.
Responsible for overall operation of recruitment.
Assign faculty and staff workload in accordance with their committee assignments to support the admissions process.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements related to the recruitment and admissions processes and procedures.
Collaborative Leadership

Attend professional development and networking opportunities as an admissions representative of the school
Serve as a role model for innovation, collaboration, and consensus-building.
Represent the School of Dentistry on university committees and task forces related to admissions issues.
Serve as a member of School leadership.
Participate in professional organizations at a level expected for an academic leader.
Build and maintain professional working relations with School of Dentistry stakeholders.
Serves as the Head of the DDS Admissions Committee.
