The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.

Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Operations – Swimming and Diving for Rutgers Athletics. This position is under the supervision of the Head Coach and coordinates and organizes all operations of the program on a daily basis.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
• Provides operational support for the Women’s Swimming and Diving team.
• Assists with scheduling travel, video/performance analysis, and coordinating details as it related to needs of the team for both home and away meets.
• Helps in the execution of the plan once it is in place.
• Travels with the team to away competitions, training camp, the Big Ten Championships and other events.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good organizational skills and must be computer literate.
• Ability to communicate clearly with student athletes, and athletic administrative staff.
• Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to rules in administration.
