About the Opportunity

Leads a small team that carries out the day-to-day operations, including project management, financial planning, and business and/or operational strategy. Develops and implements policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining, adapting, and improving operations. Oversees the operating procedures, financial requirements and objectives, and maintains optimal operating levels. Researches and analyzes external trends to identify emerging opportunities and areas of interest. Identifies and prioritizes areas for improvement and creates plans for implementation. Develops budgets, resource allocation, and tracking/reporting mechanisms.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in creating budgets and financial plans.
  • Effective leadership and general management skills.
  • Effective organizational, negotiations, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Knowledge and skills are typically acquired through completing a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, management, or a related field; master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience working in an operations role, three of which should be in a management or leadership capacity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Planning - Partner with the senior leadership team to define long- and short-term strategic objectives. Translate strategic objectives into operational policies, processes and guidelines that enable the organization’s ability to achieve its objectives.
  • Financial Plans - Collaborate with Division/College leaders to develop and manage financial plans while ensuring compliance. Track and conduct budget reviews.
  • Manage resource allocations - Ensure organization communications are frequent, effective, and transparent. Work closely with business partners to ensure service levels and expectations are met. Ensure adherence to key performance objectives.
  • Workforce Management - Partner with the Human Resources to manage inventory of jobs, develop and implement staff performance objectives, and oversee employee development opportunities.
  • Process Improvement - Researches and analyzes external trends to identify emerging opportunities and areas of interest. Identifies and prioritizes areas for improvement and creates implementation plans.
