UCSF Health seeks a dynamic and innovative marketing leader to serve as the Director of Marketing Technology and Operations. The Director of Marketing Technology and Operations will be joining the Health System at a critical juncture marked by significant growth aimed at providing the Bay area greater access to the high-quality care that only USCF Health can provide. Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, this role service as a key member of the forward thinking USCF Health senior marketing leadership team. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing technology roadmap, fostering innovation, and driving the integration of cutting-edge technologies to optimize our marketing efforts. A deep understanding of marketing technologies, data analytics, and process optimization are required to support the integration of technology and data-driven insights to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and impact.
Essential to the success of this role is close collaboration and leadership of cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, Data Analytics, and Clinical teams, to create and implement transformative marketing initiatives that enhance our brand, engage our audiences, and drive business growth. Working closely with these stakeholders, this leader will align the marketing technology vision with clinical and patient experience goals, ensuring a seamless and patient-centered approach and increased access to care across a broad continuum.
The Director of Marketing Technology and Operations, must be a proactive, goal-oriented, and agile leader with demonstrated success working within healthcare, to set and achieve effective digital engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of developing and digital strategies in complex and competitive environments, proactive leadership and team building skills, outstanding communication skills, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
- 8-10 years’ experience in digital marketing or marketing operations positions, including experience with marketing technology strategy and implementation
- 7 years’ management experience, including selection, training, evaluating and mentoring staff
- 5 years’ experience in developing, tracking and reporting on key performance indicators
- Experience in or working knowledge of customer lifecycle strategies and management
- Thorough knowledge of current and emerging marketing trends and best practices, including new and emerging strategies and technologies
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to manage multiple large scale initiatives simultaneously
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing marketing automation platforms, CRM systems (Salesforce Cloud product suite), and analytics tools
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, compliance and data security standards and evolving landscape
- Strong analytics skills and experience with ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights and reporting
- Proficiency in understanding of data models, storage platforms and processes; omnichannel and multi-touch marketing attribution methods
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into effective marketing technology solutions
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in business administration, information technology, marketing, health administration or related field
- Health care experience strongly preferred
- Experience with leading/participating in platform integrations is preferred
- Familiarity with SQL is preferred
