The Office of Academic Affairs seeks a Director of International External Engagement to coordinate relationships between the Office of International Affairs and constituencies outside of the Office of International Affairs (OIA) and Outreach and Engagement. This includes local, state, national, and international communities, campus partners, dignitaries, visitors to Columbus, higher education institutions, nonprofit and nongovernmental agencies, as well as our current and potential international partners. Ohio State has a global presence with projects and initiatives spanning many continents with leading international universities that seek to grow, expand or initaitve relationships.  As a leading university, domestically, international partnerships play a key role in realizing our vision of being a model 21st-century land-grant university.

Required experience/qualifications:

  • Master degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience developing, reviewing, negotiating and/or evaluating international partnerships
  • Experience working internationally in partnership with higher education institutions
  • Knowledge of trends in international higher education partnerships
  • Experience working with community organizations
  • Experience working with university faculty and staff on international program development and/or partnership support/facilitation
  • Working knowledge of issues impacting international partnerships in U.S. higher education


Additional Information:

The target hiring range for this job profile is $99,000 - $132,500 The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc
