Job Summary:

This position will oversee a comprehensive Just-in-Time Simulation-Based Mastery-Learning procedure training program with a clinically integrated Competency Assessment Tool (CAT) and rolling refreshers for internal medicine residents to mirror an evidence-based approach for procedural education and competency assessment, “Learn, see, practice, prove, do, maintain”.  All University of Colorado (CU) IM PGY1s will participate in a hands-on procedure simulation five days before starting a rotation with a comparably high probability of performing that procedure.  This position will be responsible for facilitation of this project, provide formative feedback and competency assessments to trainees. Specifically, this position will be responsible for the creation, management and facilitation of this project, providing formative feedback and competency assessments to trainees.

Work Location:

Hybrid – This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of varying days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
 

  • Experience in creating and implementing curriculum and validation of training tools
  • MD or DO practicing General Internal Medicine
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience providing clinical training to medical students and residents 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

    $22,500-$27,500.

    The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
