Description | The Director of Intercultural Student Engagement and Leadership Development is an integral staff member in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and will work in close collaboration with the Assistant Provost for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion supports the university’s commitment to ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant community through programs, initiatives, collaborations, education, and meaningful conversations about a broad range of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics including, but not limited to, gender, race, ethnicity, accessibility (including neurodiversity), sexual orientation, religion, language, social class, and nationality. This student-facing role will provide engaging student support to further the goals that students from all backgrounds feel a sense of belonging and that students will develop inclusive leadership practices, including experience engaging civilly across difference. The Director will work collaboratively with campus partners to support intercultural student engagement and leadership development for students on our Biddeford campus, which primarily supports undergraduate students; on our Portland campus, which supports health profession graduate students; our Tangier, Morocco study abroad campus; and our online programs which educate students from all over the world. Qualifications | Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field required. Minimum of three years of experience in student-support roles with experience supervising college students, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
