Job Summary | This is an Internal Employment Opportunity The College of Liberal Arts is seeking a Director of Humanities Initiatives. This is a part-time (0.45 FTE), 9-month, professional faculty position. This position exists within a College and University supported integrated Arts and Humanities structure that includes the Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts (PRAx), the Center for the Humanities (CFTH), and the Center of Material Cultures Research in Arts, Archaeology, and Indigenous Studies (CMCR). Although the scale of scope of each of these entities differs, their shared infrastructure supports scholarly and creative residencies, public-facing events and programming, exhibitions, and other humanities efforts. The Director of Humanities Initiatives is directly responsible for shaping the programming, curricula, research programs, and physical space of the CFTH and CMCR. The Director of Humanities Initiatives coordinates research grant applications, cultivates new sources of revenue and philanthropic giving, and works as a full member of a larger team within the integrated Arts and Humanities structure. |

What You Will Need |
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months. |
