Job Summary:
The Director of High School Programs is responsible for administering and expanding all aspects of the Early College Programs for high school students. This includes Early College Dual Enrollment, Early College Summer, and Early College On-Campus. Responsibilities include: supervision of all correspondence relevant to the programs; recruitment of high schools for the Programs; serving as a liaison to internal and external audiences; coordination with General Counsel’s Office in the preparation of all contractual agreements; and development of appropriate promotional outreach and expansion strategies including on-site presentations. The Director of High School Programs supervises two academic coordinators in their work to set up all online registration through Elevate, recording of all grades on transcripts for Early College Dual Enrollment students, and the mentoring of High School teachers by University faculty when required. The Director of High School Programs also serves as a university-wide resource and maintains an inventory of all high school programs offered by the Colleges and Schools outside of the Petrocelli Center. This position reports to the Executive Director of the Petrocelli Center for Continuing Studies. Additional duties include the coordination and delivery of the High School Teacher Orientation sessions held each year, and other additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director. 
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 3-5 years of prior related experience in program development and delivery, in a university/college/high school setting or in corporate training. A Masters’s degree is preferred.
2. Skill in designing recruitment strategies and expanding programs for high schools within university settings.
3. Successful at working collaboratively with individuals and groups at all levels and capable of producing results. 
4. Excellent organizational, verbal and writing skills. 
5. High energy, initiative, and drive for continuously improving programs and achieving successful recruitment results.
6. Excellent computer skills including a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague and ACE preferred. 
7. Valid driver’s license and accessibility to transportation for travel to off-site locations. 
8. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
