Job Overview

Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Director of Football Operations - in a temporary, part time opportunity - oversees all video operations within the football program, assists in the development of recruiting materials (e.g., general correspondence), assists in coordinating on-campus official and unofficial visits, and oversees the student managers’ involvement in game day and video responsibilities and coordinate away team travel. 

They also assist in opponent scouting reports, coordinate travel needs with the travel coordinator and administer all travel arrangements while on the road with the men’s football team (e.g., transportation, practice, meals); monitor all news outlets, including recruiting services; and keep the Head Football Coach informed. 

The Director of Football Operations carries out all duties within the stated philosophy of Georgetown athletics and its educational mission, and adheres to all institutional, Patriot League, and NCAA regulation to ensure the University’s compliance. 

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience playing and/or coaching football at the Division I or professional level
  • Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the game of football
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of athletics recruitment methods and techniques
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate an ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and insurability
  • Proficient in computer use and relevant Microsoft applications.
  • Willingness and availability to work weekends and evenings

Technical Qualification or Specialized Certification

Current First Aid/CPR certification - preferred
