Position Description


Advertised Job Summary
The Director of Facilities and Event Management for Student Health and Well-Being is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the facilities, spaces, and events related to health and wellbeing services on campus. This position requires a dynamic and strategic professional who can ensure the optimal functioning of facilities, create a welcoming and supportive environment, and coordinate events that promote the overall health and wellbeing of the university community.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, event planning, business administration, or a related field and 5 or more years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of experience in health and well-being related facilities management and event planning, preferably in a university or healthcare setting.
Master’s degree is a plus
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
The incumbent should be well organized and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as customer and client management skills. Ability to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people. Ability to manage a varied and complex workload while having technical knowledge of building services. Trouble shooting and problem-solving are essential in this role. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of health and wellbeing trends and initiatives. Strong leadership and team management skills.

Facilities Management:
- Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of health and well-being facilities, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and are conducive to fostering a healthy environment.
- Manage large scale facility improvement projects
- Collaborate with relevant departments to implement sustainability initiatives within facilities.
- Oversee the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs.

- Strategically plan and allocate spaces within health and well-being facilities to optimize functionality and user experience.
- Work closely with architects and contractors during the design and construction phases of new facilities or renovations.
- Coordinate with campus planning to align health and well-being spaces with overall campus development.
