Additionally, you will be expected to represent CARB-X at international forums, effectively communicating our mission and advocating for support. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in external engagement, a strategic mindset, and a deep understanding of the global health funding ecosystem, particularly in the realms of research and development and access to medicines, vaccines and diagnostics.
The position can be entirely virtual, but the successful candidate must be able to work (at least partially) in ET and CET time zones.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying and securing funding opportunities and/or advocating effectively for global health and/or global development initiatives
  • Competence in analyzing data and conducting actionable research on policy trends and developments
  • Proficiency in managing and completing multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Availability to travel (an expected average of 2-4 days per month)

Preferred Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the global health funding ecosystem, particularly in the realms of research and development and access to medicines, vaccines and diagnostics
  • A robust network within the global health, pharmaceutical, and AMR communities
  • Experience working in diverse cultural settings, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding of global health disparities
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English
  • Adept at employing digital and social media strategies to amplify communication efforts and advance external engagement objectives

But that's not all we're looking for. We want someone who embodies our values: collaboration, humility, integrity, excellence
