Job Summary:
The Director of Development is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major, planned and lead annual gifts for the School of Nursing and helping the School determine and meet annual and capital fundraising goals. The Director moves donors from mid-level to high-level major giving in collaboration with the Dean and Associate Dean for Advancement, participating in strategic decisions about donor and prospect assessment and participation. The Director maintains a robust portfolio of donors for whom s/he is responsible.  
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree, master''s degree preferred, five years of progressively responsible experience in raising major and or annual and or planned gifts; and managing volunteers, preferably in a university setting. Preferred Experience and Skills: Proven track record of active donor/gift cultivation and success in fundraising Strong interpersonal, time-management and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly motivated and self-directedBachelor''s degree, master''s degree preferred
