POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Creative Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the creative department. This position ensures that all creative projects align with the company's brand vision and business objectives, while also optimizing processes and workflows for maximum efficiency. The Director of Creative Operations acts as a key liaison between the creative team and other departments, driving innovation and maintaining high-quality standards across all creative outputs.

Starting Salary: $125,000 annualized.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in creative operations or project management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

SKILLS:

  • Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that arise.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of creative professionals, including designers, writers, and developers.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review project status and address any challenges.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Process Optimization:

  • Evaluate current creative processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement new workflows and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Standardize best practices across the creative team.

Quality Control:

  • Review and approve creative work to ensure it meets brand standards and project requirements.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members to improve the quality of their work.
  • Ensure all deliverables are high-quality and align with client expectations.

Budget Management:

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and staying within financial limits. o Track expenses and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
  • Negotiate with vendors and manage contracts as needed.

Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the creative team and other departments. o Communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the creative team and with external clients.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Understand client needs and ensure creative solutions align with their objectives.
  • Manage client expectations and deliver high-quality creative work on time.

Strategic Planning:

  • Align creative projects with the overall strategic goals of the organization.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to define project objectives and priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and creative growth.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the creative team.
  • Organize workshops, training sessions, and other development activities.
  • Encourage continuous learning and skill enhancement among team members.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Track and report on key performance metrics related to creative operations.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management on the status and impact of creative projects.

  • Maintain high standards for creative output, ensuring consistency and excellence.
  • Review and approve all creative work to ensure it meets brand standards and project requirements.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to improve the quality of deliverables.

Client and Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Understand client needs and ensure creative solutions meet their objectives.
  • Manage client expectations and deliver high-quality creative work on time.

Innovation and Trend Analysis:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the team to explore new ideas and creative solutions. o Integrate new tools and technologies to enhance creative processes and outputs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Direct Reports: Manage creative team members (both internal and freelance).

Indirect Reports: None.

CONTACT RESPONSIBILITY:

Internal: Interacts with supervisor to receive general direction and instructions and/or review of work results. This position will work closely with colleagues in multiple departments.

External: Interacts with outside vendors, such as advertising, digital and PR agencies, printers, graphic designers, and copywriters to ensure the successful and accurate execution of promotional strategies.

PRIMARY WORK LOCATION, HOURS & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Office Location: Remote.

Work Hours: Generally standard office hours.

Travel: May require occasional travel to Alliant International University campus locations.
