Position Summary:       

The Director of Care Café will manage, direct and ensure the overall operation and quality of all care café programming at Wurzweiler School of Social Work (WSSW). This position reports to the Dean of WSSW.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning of events including but not limited to, organizing and coordinating of all meetings
  • Schedule and maintain annual rotation of Care Café speakers
  • Generate program offerings to meet community needs
  • Work with city council members to meet their needs for Care Cafe'
  • Work with legislative and city council offices to schedule events, council attendance and community communications regarding Care Café events
  • Manage all Care Café publicity and public relations within YU and externally
  • Work with General Council and Office of Government Liaison regarding budgets and programs
  • Manage and oversee the program’s needs and developing budgets for each year
  • Oversee staffing for each Care Café event
  • Schedule and train all student workers for Care Cafe
  • Supervise quality of student performance
  • Organize advance team research efforts to garner community-based research
  • All other tasks necessary

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and at least 2-year experience in higher education
  • Knowledge and expertise in posting and creating events to various social media platforms
  • Knowledge and expertise in Yeshiva University procurement process, event management and grant accounting
  • Genuine enthusiasm for Yeshiva University and passion for WSSW and care cafe partners

• Ability to manage a budget
