Responsibilities:
  • Experience Architect: Design and execute remarkable experiences at events that leave our donors and alumni buzzing. Your expertise will ensure every gathering is unforgettable.
  • Donor Relations Guru: Cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, making them feel like cherished members of the DSU family. Craft personalized communications to keep donors informed about the impact of their support.
  • Alumni Engagement Trailblazer: Lead the charge in crafting a dynamic alumni engagement strategy that resonates with today’s innovators and influencers. Amplify the Alumni Committee’s influence by fostering collaboration.
  • Marketing Visionary: Elevate DSU’s presence to new heights! Develop and implement cutting-edge marketing strategies that enhance our visibility among alumni, donors, and the community.
  • Trendsetter: Stay ahead of the curve! Keep a watchful eye on the latest trends in alumni engagement, events, and philanthropy.
  • Community Connector: Be the face of the Foundation! Represent us at community events and forge connections that extend our impact far beyond campus.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Have 2-4 years of experience in corporate, higher education, fundraising, hospitality, or nonprofit settings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in events, fundraising, or related fields – bonus points if you’ve got the social media game to match.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to navigate the unexpected twists of event planning and alumni engagement.
  • Exceptional organization and time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud, GiveSmart, GiveGab, and Microsoft Suite is a plus.
