The Director for National Guard & Reserve Partnerships is a key role responsible for fostering relationships with military personnel, specifically focusing on the National Guard, Reserves, and Veterans. This position involves recruiting military students in an online educational environment and promoting partnerships between the organization and these military branches. The ideal candidate will possess a military background and substantial experience in recruiting military students. Additionally, this role will serve as the primary liaison between the organization and various military associations, including the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States, The National Guard Association of the United States, Association of the United States Army, The Reserve Association of America, and the Air Force Sergeants Association.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • National Guard, Reserves, and Veteran Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with National Guard, Reserves, and Veteran communities to understand their unique educational needs and challenges.

  • Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy targeting military students in an online academic environment.

  • Partnership Development: Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership between the organization and military branches to enhance educational opportunities for military students.

  • Outreach and Communication: Act as a liaison between the organization and military personnel, providing information about educational programs and opportunities, as well as offering support throughout the enrollment process.

  • Liaison with Military Associations: Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison between the organization and military associations, including the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States, The National Guard Association of the United States, Association of the United States Army, The Reserve Association of America, and the Air Force Sergeants Association.

  • Outreach to Military Installations: Engage with military installations including Dobbins, Robins AFB, Fort Moore, USMC Albany LG, Moody, MacDill AFB, USCG Sector St. Petersburg, Tyndall AFB, Hurlburt Field, NAS Pensacola, Eglin AFB.

  • Admissions Support: Assist military students in navigating the admissions process, including evaluating military credits, and ensuring a smooth transition into academic programs.

  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to military student recruitment and success, using insights to improve recruitment efforts and support services.

  • Compliance: Support the development and execution of strategy and operation efforts for the university’s military and student veteran population that is in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations and best practices for serving military and veteran students, including but not limited to: (1) the Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding (DoD MoU), (2) the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Principles of Excellence, and (3) the Department of Education’s 8 Keys to Veterans Success, and (4) specific requirements of each branch of service or VA educational benefits with which the student is affiliated.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as admissions, academic advising, and financial aid, to provide seamless support to military students.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Recruiting experience: Demonstrated success in recruiting military students, preferably in an online education setting.

  • Military Outreach Leadership: Experience in leading college/university outreach teams

  • Military Recruiting: Senior Enlisted (E-7 or above). At least 5 years in military recruiting preferred.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with military personnel and associations.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external partners, and military associations.

  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and track progress.

  • Adherence to Regulations: Familiarity with regulations and requirements related to military education benefits and recruitment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, including 2 years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Experience in: (1) Military recruiting; (2) Director-level Military education Outreach; (3) Senior Non-commissioned officer level.

Rate of Pay: $99,901 - $129,871

Compensation Type: Salary at 1.0 full-time equivalence (FTE)
