Description: Working Title Director (MPP III/Administrator III) - Disability Programs and Resource Center Administrator Level (for MPP positions only) This position is an MPP III in the California State University Management Personnel Plan (MPP), reporting to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. Time Base Full-Time (1.0) Work Schedule Monday through Friday; from 8:00am to 5:00pm Anticipated Hiring Range $9,583.00 - $10,333.00 per month ($114,996.00 - $123,996.00 annually) Salary is commensurate with experience. Position Summary San Francisco State University seeks an innovative leader and manager prepared to champion disability and intersectionality as valued forms of campus diversity to serve as its next Director of the Disability Programs & Resource Center (DPRC). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to facilitate organizational change and the development of a dynamic team of professional staff in partnership with the Paul K. Longmore Institute on Disability, a nationally-recognized disability organization, to promote cutting-edge ideas about disabled people while providing quality service to students, faculty, and staff. Promoting a culture of diversity and equity, the Director supports the academic and social justice mission of the University by providing vision, leadership, and strategic direction for all DPRC programs and services, and directly overseeing the day-to-day operations of student advising and advocacy, employee accommodations, and personnel and fiscal affairs that enhance the capacity of disabled people to be active, engaged and successful learners and workers, and full University citizens. The Director supervises a multidisciplinary team of more than 16 full and part-time professional staff (directly supervising up to 9 full-time professional staff), 50 sign language interpreters/real-time captioners, external consultants, and 200+ student workers, oversees an annual budget of approximately $2.3 million, and works closely with other unit managers in the Division of Student Affairs, including the directors of Children's Campus, Counseling & Psychological Services, Health Promotion & Wellness, and Student Health Services. Reporting administratively to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs, and serving as a key member of the Student Affairs & Enrollment Management (SAEM) Leadership Council, the Director participates in cabinet area strategic planning, program and policy development, and decision-making.
